VIRTUAL FLOOR PLAN REVOLUTIONIZES REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY
Released by Toronto Construction Association (TCA) - serving the commercial and industrial sector of the construction industry.
A tiny Canadian engineering company has launched an award-winning technology that appears poised to revolutionize the commercial and residential real estate world.
The PLANiT Measuring Company of Mississauga, Ontario has already received the support of the National Research Council (NRC) and the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). Now the company has been awarded the Toronto Construction Association's prestigious TIPTA award for its 'MeasuringBoard', an engineered integration of a laser measuring tool, a CAD program and the new, cutting-edge Tablet PC.
The MeasuringBoard delivers real-time digital floor plans that can be combined with virtual tours of existing homes and commercial real estate properties.
"Our innovative, professional service is in demand worldwide" said Michael Laurie, P. Eng., President & CEO of PLANiT, who recently returned from presentations to architects in France where the government has mandated the measuring of all buildings for any real estate transaction.
"Now we want people to know that our service, which is much more powerful than either a digital floor plan or a virtual tour on its own, is available through PLANiT anywhere in North America," he added.
PLANiT was an exhibitor at the 2002 Construct Canada Trade Show.
